Christmas is almost here!  With an almost finished kitchen and fireplace, our house is starting to feel mighty cozy.  We’ve been getting ready for the holidays by decorating a Christmas tree and making gingerbread houses.  From scratch!  We found a 20 year old cookie-mold from the “Pampered Chef” for making the gingerbread house structure, and that’s marshmallow fluff dripping down the roof .

Meanwhile, in the kitchen, the dining room side of the peninsula is finally coming together!  Obviously we have a lot of work to do still, but if you squint you can get an idea of what it will look like.   Don’t worry, there won’t be any ply-wood showing when it’s finished.
