Kitchen Renovation

November 6, 2011

Cabinet installation is coming along nicely.  All of the base-cabinets along the sink and stove walls (the L-shaped section) are installed.  The upper cabinets might be in by the end of this week.  The fridge box (3rd photo) is also finished, enabling us to finally move the refrigerator out of the living room and into the kitchen  🙂     We’ll need to figure out how to fill the gap between the fridge and the cabinet though.

Having our kitchen open to the dining room and living room makes the house feels much larger.  We also get a lot more light pouring in from the south-facing kitchen.

Alex and I spent the weekend glazing windows, painting miscellaneous pieces of trim, weeding the garden, and setting up the hallway for painting.  We’re going try to patch up the walls and paint the hallway this week.
