Bathroom Progress

February 17, 2014

We’ve made a ton of progress in the new bathroom in the last couple weeks – mainly because we hired some help for the drywall and tile.  Yes, I know, we should be able to figure out how to do these basic DIY tasks ourselves.  But really, we’re starting to get impatient with the amount of progress that we can make on our own.

So, in the closet, the drywall went up, we painted, installed pergo floors that match the real oak in the rest of the house, then we installed moulding and painted that.  Now we just have to finish painting the window, and it will be move-in ready!

Drywall also got installed in the bathroom, and then the new wood-look tile floors went in, then the shower enclosure was tiled, and the glass surround was installed.  Then we installed the moulding and brought in the new vanity and the washer/dryer.  We’re still working on the finishing touches – we need a toilet still, for instance, and the the sinks are plumbed in yet.  The window also needs to be painted still.   But we are so close the end now that we can smell it!  Final pictures will be posted next weekend I hope.
